Adjoining the farm, this former stone stables has been sympathetically converted into a contemporary living space bringing together the original building with a superbly appointed interior. The idyllic nest for that long overdue breakaway from it all.

• Bedrooms: A cosy mezzanine sleeping area with double bed provides a romantic retreat complete with luxury bed linen.
• Bathrooms: The luxuriously appointed bathroom includes a large bath, under floor heating and walk-in shower area.
• For relaxation: After an exploratory coastal walk, there's nothing better than wrapping up in a luxurious bathrobe and curling up beside the log burning stove, after a deep steaming bath. Light the candles, lay back and relax... heaven. When the weather is clement, pour yourself a chilled glass of wine and enjoy the stunning views from your own private cottage garden with comfy seating and eating areas. Or why not simply do it all, this is a world where time and space are available in abundance.
• For recreation:Should the weather keep you indoors or you cannot tear yourself away from the views from the cottage... a number of board games and books are available for your enjoyment or lose yourself listening to the extensive music library on the iPod/Bose sound system.

Outside

Set in its own private courtyard garden nestled in 15 acres of wood and pasture land, you are welcome to explore and use the facilities of the ever extending “reclaimed” garden. The latest addition being the verdant vegetable and herb garden which you are welcome to enjoy the 'in season' produce from.

Food and Wine

• DIY: Available on a self-catered basis, a superbly appointed and fully equipped kitchen ensures you can indulge in a passion for cooking using the excellent local produce. There are some great farm shops and suppliers a short drive away.
• In-house cuisine: If cooking isn’t your idea of relaxation arrange to have your fridge filled with delicious homecooked meals prior to your arrival or order a gourmet hamper packed full of North Yorkshire goodies - available on request from the owners.
• Eating out: You will find a number of excellent pubs from gastro to the traditional country inn within a short drive of the property enabling you to sample some of the finest Yorkshire food. Enjoy fine dining at Michelin-starred The Star Inn at Harome, which also won the Egon Ronay gastro pub of the year award in 2006.

• Set in the middle of the North Yorkshire National Park in an area of special scientific interest there are numerous country walks starting straight from the front door of the cottage, a favourite being a circular walk along the beach to Robin Hood’s Bay where you can enjoy traditional fish and chips and Yorkshire ale.
• Tennis and 9 hole golf can be arranged at the local hotel 20 minutes walk away.
