Inside

A lovely coastal abode nestled in the village of Golant, from cosy fireside stays to messing about on the river The Old Postie offers a great place to explore the South Coast.

• Style and Layout: Once the village Post Office, the cottage has been sensitively converted to offer open plan living with all the creature comforts of home. Fresh linens enhance the duck egg blue walls, the cottage has a real sense of space and calm.
• Bedrooms: Choose from two cosy doubles both with river views and deep window seats. The full sized truckle bed can be set up as a twin or single, idyllic for children.
• Bathrooms: A sunny family bathroom with river views. One is on the first floor  also one of the doubles offers an ensuite shower room whilst the ground floor has a further toilet and wet room with power shower, great for washing off the salt!
• For relaxation: Choose to unwind on the decking with a Du Maurier novel or cosy away fireside with a local ale.
• For recreation: Wander down to the riverbank and take in the serene views or launch a canoe from the slipway and explore the creeks
• Practicalities: Washing machine, microwave, separate wet room and storage. Off-road parking space available with further parking nearby.

Outside

Open the doors onto the sunny decking brimming with pots of herbs and seasonal blooms. Sit out with a coffee on the garden seating or enjoy a BBQ. The lane leads past the house and down to the river and green park.

Food and Wine

• DIY: Available on a self catered basis. The contemporary kitchen is filled with natural light, well equipped for family catering. River caught mussels are a must or snag yourself a local trout for the BBQ
• In-house cuisine: Catering is available at an additional cost and is to be arranged direct with the caterers. We are able to provide you with contacts for recommended caterers on request.
• Eating out: The south coast is scattered with fine eateries including the much acclaimed Nathan Outlaws in nearby Fowey or walk to The Cormorant in Golant. The Fishermans Arms is just a 2 minute walk away and great for a local ale.

• By Car: approx 4.5 hours form London, 1hr 20 from Exeter
• By Train: The nearest station is Par approx 10 minutes away (remember to book a taxi)
• By Air: Direct flights to Newquay airport from London daily, approx 40 minutes away
